Stokesley, Community Library, The Globe, Award, Support us

There are many ways to help keep the library open, as well as using it!

The Globe became a volunteer supported Community Library on 3rd April 2017, and was officially opened by Philippa Gregory on 15th June 2017. A plaque commemorating the official opening is on display in the library.

The Globe Community Library is a Registered Charity No. 1171473

Following consultation with Stokesley residents, Stokesley Town Council agreed to support the wages of the Library Manager for this year with renewal to be agreed annually. The Globe (through its Trustees) is responsible for the cost of the day to day running of the Library and its premises. NYCC still provides some part time Library staffing hours, IT services and books. Volunteers fill all other roles. The Globe has also received funding from local Parish goes to help keep The Globe Councils.

Throughout the year The Globe hosts fundraising activities to help towards the running cost of the Community Library and we also rely on donations to support this too.

How could you help to keep The Globe as a Community facility and centre for the people of Stokesley and the surrounding areas?
