Goodbye to Jane Hall, our Library Manager for the last 2 years

by Sue Ward

On Saturday we said goodbye to Jane Hall, who has been our Library Manager for the past 2 years.  It is estimated more than 50 Volunteers, Trustees and other close colleagues came to the library to wish her well.

The Volunteers gave an “eulogy”. and presented Jane with a (large) card with added sheets, flowers and a cheque to spend on herself.  We also presented a scrapbook folder of photographs and posters to remind her of everything she has achieved since we opened as a Community Library just over 2 years ago.

Jane, we wish to say a big THANK YOU for everything you have done to make The Globe such a wonderful asset for the whole Community. And we want to wish you every success and happiness for the future. Because of your vision and persistence, coupled with your very hard work, The Globe is a very happy place.

We are awaiting news of the appointment of Jane’s successor.  In the meantime Adrian and a small group of Volunteer Duty Managers will be striving to keep up Jane’s extremely high standards.
