The Globe Knitters' Contribution to Stokesley Centenary Poppy Project

The Globe Knitters' Contribution to Stokesley Centenary Poppy Project

by Gill DeCosemo

The knitters of Stokesley and their family and friends have knitted over 5400 poppies so far for the Stokesley Centenary Poppy Project.  The target was 4500 poppies but the collection boxes will remain available for those still being produced.

The Globe Knitters handed over 1800 poppies earlier in the week.

The Globe Kinitters meet in the library every Tuesday 2-4pm.  From next Tuesday (24th) until the end of the school holiday, they are running drop in sessions every Tuesday afternoon to teach children how to knit.  They will start with a wrist band.  Just turn up to this and The Globe’s other children’s activities being held throughout the holiday.
