The Globe started as a community-run library on 1 April 2017 and was officially opened on 15 June 2017 by celebrated historical novelist and academic Philippa Gregory.

We serve Stokesley and surrounding districts, including Ingleby Greenhow, Seamer, Carlton, Great Broughton, Ingleby Arncliffe, Swainby and Chopgate.

The library opens to the public from 10am on Monday 6th July. Telephone or E-mail for a 20 minute appointment to browse the shelves. Only 3 people allowed per slot.

Life in Lockdown - Library Display and Local Record

We’d love to use your pictures of how you, your family or community have been doing in lockdown. Initial display will be on the large library window before being filed for local records. You’ll be there for posterity!
